Taraba State Hunters Battle Kidnappers to Rescue Monarch

Local hunters in Taraba State successfully rescued Galadima Danladi Tau, the district head of Lau town from kidnappers who had stormed his palace on Saturday night, according to reports.

The swift action of the hunters led to a confrontation with the kidnappers, resulting in the safe rescue of the traditional ruler, albeit with injuries sustained during the ordeal. Subsequently, the kidnappers launched a retaliatory attack on the town, but the hunters, alongside vigilantes, mounted a vigorous defense, repelling the assailants in a prolonged confrontation.

Residents of Lau and neighboring villages have long grappled with bandit attacks, prompting a collaborative effort between local hunters and vigilantes to fortify security measures. The joint efforts culminated in the successful defense against the attackers, effectively clearing the area of bandits. To bolster security further, military personnel were deployed to ensure safety and stability in the region, underscoring the commitment to restoring peace in the affected communities.

Usman Abdullahi, the police spokesman in Taraba State, confirmed the incident and reassured the public that normalcy has been restored to the area following the confrontation. Meanwhile, in a separate development, the Adamawa State command of the Nigeria Police Force announced the arrest of two individuals suspected of involvement in kidnapping activities.

This significant achievement was attributed to the collaborative efforts between law enforcement agencies and local hunters.
