Niger Delta’s PANDEF Convenes to Discuss National and Regional Concerns

UYO – The PAN Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), a leading socio-cultural organization representing the people of the Niger Delta, is readying to discuss the current affairs of the nation and the latest socio-political developments in the Niger Delta region.

Yesterday, Dr. Ken Robinson, the National Publicity Secretary for PANDEF, released a statement from Abuja stating the forum’s intentions. Robinson affirmed that the meeting would also consider the existing status of federal agencies that directly impact the Niger Delta, as well as road infrastructure and other related issues.

Robinson announced, “The PANDEF will conduct an extended National Executive Committee assembly in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, July 28. The meeting will be helmed by the National Chairman, Senator Emmanuel Essien, and will focus on the current national situation, recent socio-political changes in the region, and the overall country.”

In a bid to enhance its services, the Uyo meeting will also lay down strategies to reinforce PANDEF’s structures.

Robinson revealed that the Board of Trustees, National and State Executive Committees, and crucial stakeholders from the coastal states of the region have been summoned to participate in the discussion.
