The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has contested the assertion made by the Imo State government regarding the abduction of Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri of Orodo, Mbaitoli Local Government. Contrary to the government’s account attributing the incident to unidentified gunmen, IPOB, through its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, alleges that the traditional ruler was forcibly taken by agents of the Imo State government collaborating with those of a deposed traditional ruler, previously ousted by a former Governor of Imo State.
In a statement released by IPOB, the organization contends that Eze Ohiri’s kidnapping is intricately linked to reprisals orchestrated by the deposed traditional ruler and the present Imo State government. According to the statement, the abduction was purportedly carried out by a notorious individual associated with the Imo State government, suggesting a premeditated and orchestrated act.
The global Indigenous People of Biafra, under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, strongly condemns the recent abduction of HRM Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri. IPOB’s intelligence unit claims to have identified the perpetrators behind the crime, rejecting the notion that the kidnappers were unidentified.
