Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the Badguy, is a musician of repute and a passionate political activist. The rapper who in recent years has been known to join in the clamour for police reforms underwent a knee surgery a couple of months ago in London, UK.
According to LEADERSHIP, Falz appeared on a Cool FM programme anchored by the BBN star, Tacha where he revealed that he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) which is one of the key ligaments that help stabilize the knee joint.
The outspoken rapper, a son of the popular human rights activist Femi Falana (SAN), revealed that the damage to his ACL occurred while playing football. According to him, “my ligament was torn totally so the knee kind of scattered”.
Explaining further, he said, “I was just running and the thing just comot like that. I don’t know how it happened because I have been playing football since I was a child. And everything was going smoothly. Maybe on that fateful day, I didn’t stretch well”.
Falz lamented that he had been through a very tough time. “I had ACL reconstruction surgery”. He however enthused that he is back and running now. “But It always happens”, it’s a one-time injury and it’s a slightly common injury for athletes.
Falz said he’s glad to be back, undergoing rehab and doing physiotherapy. Getting some exercise in and he is also in the process of building muscle back
