Tobi Amusan: World Record Holder Impresses Fans with Spectacular Performance in Ostrava

Nigeria’s ‘Queen of the Track’, Tobi Amusan impressed fans at the Golden Spikes meet in Ostrava, Czech Republic, running a new season’s best of 12.47secs. Amusan finished third in the race, coming behind Tia Jones, who came second in 12.44secs, while U.S athlete, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn won the race in a meet record of 12.42secs.

Despite not winning the race, Amusan’s time is a remarkable improvement from her previous best of 12.57s at the Racers Grand Prix held in Jamaica

The world record holder will now turn her attention to the Diamond League as she competes at the Lausanne Diamond League on Friday, June 30.

Amusan will be up against Camacho-Quinn and Tia Jones again, where another explosive race is anticipated.
