Taraba State: Suspected Fulani Terrorists Murder Monarch, Abduct Wife, Son and others

Shadowy terrorists have brutally murdered the traditional ruler of Garin Moddibo town in Taraba State, Alhaji Muhammadu. The horrifying attack occurred at about 11:30 pm on Monday, leaving the community in shock and despair.

Alongside the monarch, his wife, son, and four other individuals were abducted from the town, which is situated just a few kilometers away from Sunkani headquarters of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area in the state.

The criminal killers didn’t stop there; they extended their brutality to two neighboring villages, invading them and abducting four villagers, including a nursing mother. The region is now under siege by these bandits, terrorizing the local population day and night.

In response to this heinous act, hunters, led by the state chairman of the Hunters Association, Dantala Adamu, have mobilized to search the dense forests and challenging mountainous terrain, hoping to rescue the abducted individuals and bring them back safely to their families.

The gravity of the situation prompted the chairman of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area, Dalhatu Kawu, to report the incident to the Taraba State government. He expressed deep concern about the continuous onslaught of suspected fulani terrorists, highlighting the urgent need for intervention to ensure the safety and security of the people residing in the affected areas.

The Taraba State Police Command confirmed the incident, although further details about the attack were not provided. The community remains on edge, awaiting updates on the efforts being made by law enforcement and local authorities to apprehend the perpetrators and restore a sense of security to the region.
