The accused, along with others still at large, are accused of conspiring to commit acts of terrorism, kidnapping, and murder. They have pleaded not guilty and will face further proceedings on March 12.
Meanwhile, in Ekiti State, Bubuga Lede has been arraigned for the alleged murder of two traditional rulers, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin and Oba Olatunde Samuel Olushola. The killings occurred in January while the rulers were returning from a security meeting. Lede faces charges of conspiracy to kidnap, attempted murder, and murder, as well as an attempted kidnapping of another individual.
The defendant has been remanded in custody pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution, with proceedings adjourned until April 24.
