Obidient Movement Worldwide Denounce Alleged Fraudster, Distance self from Uzodinma’s Re-election

The Obidient Movement Worldwide has publicly distanced itself from certain individuals accused of tarnishing the group’s reputation. The group particularly called out one Mr. Kennedy Iyere, who has allegedly been using the group’s name to defraud its members and the general public.

This announcement came after an emergency meeting, in which the movement’s leaders, including Dr Haruna Gorah, Dr Michael Chukwujekwu, Pastor James Ime, and Hon. Pamson Dagyat, expressed their discontent over such activities.

Iyere was specifically accused of falsely aligning the movement with Governor Hope Uzodimma’s re-election campaign in Imo State. The Movement clarified that it neither works with nor supports Governor Uzodimma, who they claim failed to meet their standards.

The Obidient Movement further urged its members to exercise caution, stating that any financial support given to Iyere in the group’s name is at the donor’s risk. They also distanced themselves from endorsing Governor Uzodimma for re-election and resolved to avoid any political or unrealistic funding meetings convened by Iyere using the Obidient Movement’s name.

Several other groups also disowned Iyere, including the Coalition for Peter Obi, Peter Obi Support Network, and others.
