OAU Student Murder: Adeleke Rubbishes Rumore of Plan To Grant Adedoyin Pardon

OSUN STATE-  Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has denied plans to grant state pardon to Dr. Rahman Adedoyin, who was sentenced to death for the murder of Timothy Adegoke.

Adeleke’s media aide issued a statement clarifying that the governor’s administration has no intention to subvert justice and those spreading false news are enemies of the public. The statement emphasized that the governor and his political party have no hidden agenda and that the state judiciary has exercised independence in the case.

The governor was never a friend or partner of the convicted businessman, and attempts to link them are baseless. The public is urged to disregard rumors of a state pardon and the unfounded attempts to connect a judicial official’s service records to the verdict.
