Northern Nigeria Labour Party Members Unite for Peter Obi

BAUCHI – Chairmen of Labour Party’s northern Nigeria groups have unanimously given their backing to the 2023 presidential flag bearer of the party, Ex Anambra state governor Peter Obi.

Rising from a joint meeting of all coalitions in the north, held in Bauchi state recently, the chairman Muhammad Abdullahi Lawal, stated that the northern Labour Party group will be speaking with one voice in support for Mr Peter Obi. Obi He stated further that embodies what the Party stood for and that its members were confident to stand in solidarity with the ex-governor who has proven he is a man of honour

Lawal said, “Sequel to this, we reaffirmed our unwavering support for Peter Obi, who embodies character and distinguished principles that define the Labour Party and the great future of our country’s unity.

“We stand in solidarity with him, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the Obedient movement groups and all other stakeholders who are committed to uniting the party and upholding its integrity.

“However, in the interest of party unity and progression, we have collectively agreed today to disband these factions and move forward as one cohesive party.

Meanwhile Obi took the opportunity to call on everyone to use the festive season to pray for the country. Speaking through Labour Party’s spokesperson Dr Yunusa Tanko, Obi enjoyed well-wishers of Nigeria to pray for peace
