Nollywood’s renowned actor, Femi Adebayo, recently revealed he had to part with some of his assets to back the production of his latest movie, ‘Jagun Jagun’. The movie, which aired on Netflix August 10, was a hughl financial sacrifice, he said, without divulging exact figures.

“Jagun Jagun is a multi-billion-naira project and I cannot state the precise amount I invested in its production,” he said. “I used the proceeds from Agbeshinkole to produce Jagun Jagun. I was working without external financial support. When I ran out of funds, I sold my properties, confident in the project’s success.”

In 2022, Adebayo’s movie ‘King of Thieves’ (Agesinkole) raked in over N170 million within the first three weeks of its cinema debut. The actor is a son of the celebrated actor Adebayo Salami, fondly known as Oga Bello. On Oga Bello’s 70th birthday in 2022, his children surprised him with an SUV as a gift.
