Ibadan Explosion: Rep Calls for Investigation amid Terrorism Suspicions Cover-up

Representative Tolulope Akande Sadipe, who holds the position for Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has called on relevant authorities to hold accountable those responsible for the explosion in Ibadan on Tuesday. Chairing the House committee on ethics and privileges, Ms. Akande-Sadipe expressed her concern over the tragic incident that resulted in loss of lives and properties within the community.

In a statement issued from Abuja by her special assistant on media and publicity, Lekan Olusada, the lawmaker extended her condolences to the victims and their families, standing in solidarity with the mourning community.

Emphasizing the need for collective support, Ms. Akande-Sadipe urged the community to come together during this challenging time. She questioned the storage of explosives in a residential neighborhood and called for a thorough investigation by relevant authorities to understand the root causes of the explosion.

The lawmaker stressed the importance of such inquiries to prevent similar tragedies in the future, ensuring the safety and well-being of communities.
