Benue Government Bury 15 Victims of Suspected Fulani Terrorists Attacks

Slain victims of suspected Fulani criminals were giving mass burial Tuesday by the Benue State government. The deadly attack was said to have happened at Mbaikyor community, Mbalom council ward of Gwer-East Local Government Area of the state

Deputy Governor of Benue State, Barr. Sam Ode, represented Gov. Hyacinth Iormem Alia at the ceremony in the same Local Government Area

According to Barr. Sam Ode, “the governor condemned the gruesome attack which also left scores of other people injured, and promised to do everything possible to ensure that such an ugly incident does not reoccur”.

“The government and people of the state are at pains over the untimely deaths the state has continued to record in recent times due to the herdsmen invasion and described the situation as abnormal.

He emphasised that everyone must be proactive in securing lives and properties in Benue state. Governor Alia urged the community through their traditional rulers to organise a security outfit and present it to the state government for inauguration with the aim of protecting their communities against further attacks.
