AFCON Star Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali Receives “Pride of Egbema Kingdom” Chieftaincy Title

The talented goalkeeper of the Super Eagles, Stanley Nwabali has been bestowed with a prestigious chieftaincy title by His Royal Majesty, Nzeobi Evaritus Amida, the traditional ruler of Egbema Kingdom. Recognizing Nwabali’s exceptional performance during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he displayed remarkable skill and dedication, the royal fathers decided to honour him with the title of “The Pride of Egbema Kingdom.

The monarch expressed his admiration for Nwabali’s achievements on the international stage, emphasizing the honor he has brought to the Egbema Kingdom through his outstanding performance. Nwabali’s skillful prowess as a shot stopper has not only garnered acclaim within the sporting realm but has also elevated the reputation of his community on a broader scale.

In addition to the chieftaincy title, Nwabali’s excellence has been duly recognized by the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who awarded him a substantial sum of N20 million, a state’s appreciation for Nwabali’s athletic prowess.
