Serie A club AC Milan are reportedly looking to make an improved offer for Super Eagles striker Samuel Chukwueze.
The “Red and Blacks” are looking to offer around €25 million for the striker after their initial bid of €15 million was rejected. Villareal is demanding at least €35 million and AC Milan remains hopeful that the latest bid would be accepted.
Chuwkwueze is currently open to a move abroad. Milan have spoken with the winger’s agent and the club’s head coach Stefano Pioli have had a conversation with him, from which it emerged there is a mutual desire for the move to take place.
The 24-year-old has one year remaining on his contract and is not willing to extend his stay in Villareal. He has also been linked with a move to Liverpool.
Meanwhile, AC Milan have Samuel Chukwueze as their number one target for the right wing position because of his pace, his dribbling and his ability to beat his opponent in one-on-one situations.
Fans of Villarreal CF have been enjoying these kinds of mazy dribbles from Chukwueze all season long, as he has been completing 3.47 successful take-ons per 90 minutes in this La Liga Santander campaign.
He enjoyed his best-ever season for Villareal last season, with 13 goals and 11 assists so far across all competitions. The Nigerian striker has played a total of 197 matches at senior level for Villarreal CF.
