Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has disclosed that the club’s ace striker Victor Osimhen will be sold at the right price only if presented with a very decent offer.
Osimhen is understood to be valued at €150 million by Napoli, and Aurelio suggests that only one club can pay such an amount to purchase the striker, which is Paris Saint Germain.
Speaking to an Italian press company in Italy, Mediaset, Aurelio said,
“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain. If PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to send in a bid of around €200m, we wait and see what happens. I personally think that Victor will stay here”.
It is understood that PSG had earlier presented a €100 million bid for Osimhen in the past week, but the offer was rejected immediately with Napoli requesting for €180 million.
With PSG uncertain over the future of their star player Kylian Mbappe at the club, following his refusal to pen a new deal, Osimhen is seen as an ideal replacement.
Osimhen who scored 31 goals across all competitions for Napoli last season, with his pivotal role that saw the “Gli Azzurri” lift the Serie A trophy (Scudetto) after 33 years, has brought him to the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.
His remarkable performance for Napoli last season has also seen him ranked as the fourth most-valuable player in the world, valued at €120 million, behind Vinicius Junior, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappe.
