Tinubu, APC Accussed of Scheming a State of Emergency via War to Hold on to Power PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched a striking accusation against President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, the President and his party are allegedly trying to instigate an unnecessary conflict with Niger Republic in a desperate bid to sustain power.

The PDP argues that the current situation in Niger does not pose a national security threat to Nigeria, thus no justification for military involvement. They expressed concerns over the growing tension in Nigeria, allegedly fueled by Tinubu’s insistence on military action.

The opposition party further alleged that Tinubu’s primary motive is to deploy the military to Niger so he can create conditions for a state of emergency in Nigeria. The PDP suggests this is a calculated move to disrupt the judicial process concerning the 2023 Presidential election.

The PDP firmly opposes the alleged move by Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC to instigate a conflict with Niger Republic. They assert that such a move would only serve to destabilize Nigeria for political gain.

The opposition party further criticized the APC’s alleged attempts to commit Nigerian soldiers to a needless conflict, despite widespread disapproval from the National Assembly and Nigerians. They also accused the APC of trying to distract the public from the economic hardships that have plagued the nation over the last two months.
