Army Rescues Taraba Monarch’s son, others, from Kidnappers Den

Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 114 Battalion (Rear) under the 6 Brigade recently executed a successful rescue operation in Taraba State, rescuring four abductees, including the son of a local traditional ruler. Among those rescued were Genesis Samuel, Benard Denis, Esther Titus, and Isma’il Umar, the 25-year-old son of the Emir of Pupulle.

This operation, which occurred on February 2nd, 2024, proved the dire straigt the nation finds herself in the ongoing battle against terrorism, jihadists and kidnapping in the region.

Despite the challenges posed by rugged terrain and the elusive nature of the perpetrators, the operation achieved its primary objective of rescuing the abducted individuals.
