Terrorists who invaded Madaka market in Rafi local government area of Niger state, have reportedly murdered 31 of the 50 abductees. The victims, believed to be mostly women and children were ambushed at Madaka market last week Thursday with no federal security agencies in sight to help them.
The traditional ruler of Madaka, Isah Bawale Madaka confirmed that the terrorists killed some of the victims at the village, whilst others lost their lives enroute to the forest, believed to be the terrorists hideout
He said, “In Kukoki village while going into the forest around Shiroro local government area of Niger State they killed seven people and killed additional two people while moving towards the forest.”
Strange enough, the terrorists are yet to demand for ransom, raising questions as to their main motives. It is not certain if this entire attack is a ploy for landgrab with the terrorists suspected to be fulani
Federal security agencies, the Emir of Kalgara, Alhaji Ahmed Attahiru Gunna, and the representative of Rafi/ Shiroro/ Munya Federal Constituency, Hon Ismaila Modibbo, are yet to hold a joint national press conference to tell Nigerians about the horror that befell the helpless abducted victims and more importantly give clarity to the ethnic identities of the terrorists to erase suspicions
