Memory Lane: Soccer Star Victor Osimhen Visits Teacher who Helped Start Career

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen who is currently in Nigeria has paid homage to the teacher who convinced his dad to allow him play football.

Reports revealed that the prolific striker while in secondary school, wanted to play football, but his father disapproved of his decision, labeling it an occupation for dropouts.

It took the intervention of Osimhen’s games mistress Mrs. Augustina Atanda who is also a sports enthusiast,  to convince his dad before he eventually agreed to allow his son play football.

Today, that decision has paid off, as Osimhen has grown to become a notable professional footballer, with his pivotal role in helping Napoli win their first Italian Serie A title in 33 years.

Following her contribution to his football career, Victor Osimhen visited his alma mater Oregun Senior High School, Ikeja, Lagos, to pay homage to her, expressing gratitude for her support
