Benue State: Lightning Kills Catholic Priest 

In a devastating incident in Benue State, lightning struck and killed Rev. Fr. Faustinus Ukenongo Gundu, a Catholic priest who was serving as the Parish Priest at St. Joseph Catholic Church Jootar. The tragedy occurred at his church in Jootar Mbaterem, leading to an outpouring of grief and condolences from the community.

Rev. Fr. Gundu, who was an albino, succumbed to the lightning strike, leaving many in shock. Multiple eyewitnesses shared the tragic news of the Catholic priest’s demise after he was struck and killed by lightning. Emberga T. Joseph, Aga Linus, and Olikita Ekani reported the incident on social media platforms, expressing their shock and condolences.

Numerous parishioners and sympathizers expressed their grief by leaving heartfelt messages in the comment sections of posts related to the incident. Despite attempts to confirm the incident with the police, there was no response from Catherine Anene, the spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, despite multiple calls and messages.
