A group of Muslim religious leaders, known as Alfas, spearheaded by Sala Ayodeji, have issued a stern warning to a female devotee of the Isese faith in Ilorin, Kwara State.
A video circulated online displays the intense scene when these clerics, about 15 in total, confronted the woman at her place of business with threats and intimidation.
These Alfas didn’t mince words when they demanded the woman to leave her shop within a week, warning her of escalating tensions and possible havoc.
One of the clerics, in the heat of the moment, even threatened to obliterate all the merchandise in the woman’s store. Ayodeji went a step further, insisting that the landlord reimburse the woman’s rent and evict her, claiming that followers of the Isese faith are not accepted in that locality.
Ayodeji underscored their serious intent by stating that the Kwara State Police Commissioner, Ebunoluwa Rotimi Adelesi, has been informed of their visit. He sternly warned the woman that she had a week to leave the premises or face a situation far grimmer.
Communicating in Yoruba, Ayodeji stated, “In seven days, the Alaran family refunded their money and evicted them. If we come back in seven days and meet them here, the situation will be worse than this. The commissioner of police is aware of our visit. You know this won’t be our first; we know how this works, so leave our town.”
