IPOB Criticizes Governor Mbah’s Use of Force on Sit-at-home Protesters in Enugu State

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have expressed their concerns regarding Governor Peter Mbah’s methods to quell the sit-at-home protests in Enugu State. The separatist group has disapproved the governor’s militarized approach, claiming it victimizes innocent civilians.

The group’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, put forth these remarks in a statement released on Thursday. He criticized the Governor’s use of security forces to harass and intimidate the people of Enugu State, stating that it was unacceptable.

Powerful remarked, “Governor Peter Mbah was elected for good governance, not for chasing shadows and draining scarce state resources in an attempt to halt the infamous sit-at-home protests.” Emma stated.

IPOB suggests that Governor Mbah should seek inspiration from his predecessor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. They lauded Ugwuanyi’s strategic management of sit-at-home enforcers which prevented the situation from escalating.
