Ibadan: Fly Rekordz Launched as a Cultural and Religious Record Label

IBADAN- Fly Rekordz, a music record label, officially launched its operations during an in-house event held last Sunday in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. The record label’s primary objective is to provide young talents with a platform to showcase and develop their skills, with a strong focus on promoting cultural and religious acts exclusively.

Bolarinwa Kashif, also known as Mr Fly, the business magnate and founder of Fly Rekordz, expressed his confidence that the label would become a significant player in the music industry. Despite the dominance of hip hop, Afro pop, reggae, and sonic music, the label has chosen to focus on promoting talents that sing cultural and religious music. Kashif explained that the reason behind this decision is to provide a platform for talents that have been overlooked in the industry.

Kashif also emphasized that promoting cultural acts would counter the immoral nature of the music that dominates the world today. Fly Rekordz, with its focus on cultural and religious music, aims to provide a refreshing alternative for music enthusiasts who crave music with a positive message and cultural value.

Fly Rekordz has already signed two talented artists who are set to make a significant impact in the music industry with their unique style and lyrics. Among the label’s signees are Atoke Akewi, a traditional chanter, and El_Jazaah, a religious act. Kashif expressed his confidence in the potential of these artists and future signees, stating that Fly Rekordz is poised to take the musical world by storm. By promoting cultural and religious music, the record label aims to shed light on forgotten traditions and values while offering a refreshing alternative to the often immoral nature of mainstream music.
