Residents are left grappling with the disturbing reality that such brazen acts of violence can strike at any moment, robbing families of their loved ones and shattering communities.

This incident serves as a  reminder of the urgent need for decisive action from the government to address the escalating insecurity in Akwa Ibom State. While promises of improved security measures have been made in the past, the recent spate of violent incidents highlights the glaring gaps in the state’s security apparatus.

Community leaders, activists, and concerned citizens are calling on the government to prioritize the safety and well-being of its people. Enhanced police patrols, strategic deployment of security personnel, and investment in community policing initiatives are among the measures urgently needed to curb the rising tide of violence.
