The Akwa-Ibom state government, under the leadership of its Governor Umo Eno, has declared a new partnership with Innoson Motors, referred to as Africa’s leading automobile company.

Governor Eno revealed in a tweet last Thursday evening that the alliance with Innoson Motors will assist in delivering relief measures to the state’s residents, following the controversial discontinuation of the fuel subsidy

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with @innosonvehicles, the pioneer of Nigeria’s indigenous automobile manufacturing, steered by its Chairman, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, CON. The objective of our partnership is to offer relief, predominantly in the area of transportation, to our citizens impacted by the fuel subsidy withdrawal.

“We’re committed to working together to mitigate the hardships faced by our people and encourage growth and national pride,” Governor Eno further stated.

He also extended his gratitude to Chief Chukwuma, the head of Innoson Motors, recognizing his “support and his unwavering spirit in founding the first indigenous auto manufacturing company.”
