The Super Eagles of Nigeria haven’t changed significantly in the FIFA Coca-Cola Men’s Ranking for July, and they’re still ranked 39th overall.
Nigeria retained the 1486.48 points it had in June in the ranking table that was posted on the international football governing body’s website on Thursday.
The same pattern of stagnation was observed at the continental level, where Nigeria’s team continued to hold down the sixth position, trailing Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt, respectively.
Since the June World Ranking, a total of 62 matches have been played on the international stage, with 25 of those matches occurring in the Concacaf Gold Cup final. The remaining 37 games were played in the COSAFA Cup (CAF) and SAFF Cup (AFC), two competitions that are regarded as friendly matches for the purposes of the FIFA rankings.
There are no changes at all in the top ten, which is made up solely of European and South American teams.
Recall That Nigerian has been known as “The Giant of Africa but it appears that the recent poor performance in football make caricature of that Giant’s status
