The latest achievement comes as Burna Boy becomes the first African artist to sell out the prestigious Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany. The momentous event took place on December 9, 2023, as part of Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them’ world tour, where he successfully filled the 17,000-seat capacity venue.
This accomplishment adds to Burna Boy’s growing list of sold-out performances at historic venues across the globe. Notably, earlier this year, he became the inaugural African artist to headline a stadium concert in the United Kingdom, selling out the renowned London stadium. Additionally, Burna Boy made history by selling out a stadium in the United States with a captivating show at the Citi Field stadium in New York.

His chart-topping single ‘City Boy’ is nominated for Best African Music Performance, ‘Alone’ secured a nomination for Best Global Music Performance, and his collaboration with 21 Savage on ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ earned a nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
Notably, Burna Boy’s inclusion in these categories makes him the first Nigerian artist to be nominated as a lead artist outside of the global music categories.
