Isiokpo community in Rivers State is mourning the tragic loss of Herbert Nwigwe, alongside his wife and son, following a fatal crash. King Blessing Wagor expressed the community’s commitment to traditional rites in determining the circumstances of the incident, emphasizing the importance of conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the cause of Wigwe’s untimely demise.
The community, clad in mourning attire, came together in a solemn procession, symbolizing their collective grief and lamenting the passing of a revered member. King Wagor highlighted Wigwe’s significant contributions to the development of Isiokpo, underscoring his role as a benefactor who initiated transformative projects, including an ongoing electricity endeavor.
Despite the profound loss, there is a resounding call for transparency and accountability surrounding the circumstances of the tragedy. The President of Isiokpo Youth Council, Ezemoye Peter, echoed the sentiments of the community, urging government authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, including scrutiny of weather conditions and the helicopter company involved.
