Nollywood starlet, Tonto Dikeh, has issued an urgent plea to connect with the family or management of ailing Nigerian singer, Joshua Iniyezo, known popularly as Solid Star, who is reportedly grappling with severe mental health challenges.
Early this week, the public was alarmed by reports of Solid Star’s distressing state. His brother, Sunday, shared the troubling news on social media about the ‘Omotena’ singer’s mental health struggles.
Compounding concerns, a disturbing video surfaced on Instagram showing the artist wandering the streets without shoes. This prompted a wave of online reactions, with many lamenting the singer’s unfortunate circumstances.
In response to the unfolding crisis, Dikeh turned to Instagram on Thursday, seeking assistance to contact any relative or representative of Solid Star.
In her emotional post, Dikeh reminisced how Iniyezo was prepared to put everything on the line for her musical career to flourish.
She penned, “How can I connect with Solidstar’s family or his team? He’s my brother from the streets, always ready to give everything for my musical success, but I just didn’t listen.
“He never asked for a dime, declined gifts, and would not even accept a hug. Such a selfless person. I’m devastated that he is surrounded by strong men, yet he is still out there.
“Can anyone guide me in the right direction, please?”
In 2013, Dikeh and Solid Star worked together on the hit track ‘Sheba’.
