Nigeria Pillaging: Criminal Contractors Defrauding Nigeria of Billions with Expatriate Quota Scam

In a petition addressed to the FG, concerned stakeholders in the expatriate quota allocation system have accused contractors of defrauding Nigeria of billions of naira through the new expatriate quota policy.

The policy was introduced by the Buhari administeration and has allegedly led to a loss of investors’ confidence in Nigeria’s ease of doing business.

The stakeholders urged for a thorough investigation to be carried out to identify those involved in the fraudulent act. The contractors are reportedly cronies of top officials of the Ministry of Interior who allegedly collect charges on behalf of the government and remit only a small fraction of the revenue.

The petition also highlighted the danger of exposing classified data and information of multinational companies to obscure and unqualified agents.
