However, Udeze also acknowledged the existence of certain individuals and groups, such as Simon Ekpa and non-state actors, whose activities continue to pose challenges in the South-East. He expressed his hope that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would demonstrate the same political will he exhibited with the removal of fuel subsidy and order for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. Udeze believes that such a bold action from the President would not only contribute to restoring peace but also ensure the security of lives and property in the volatile region.
On a broader political note, Udeze briefly touched upon the performance of President Bola Tinubu and his ministerial appointments. While refraining from a comprehensive assessment, he expressed his observations that certain appointments appeared to be more politically motivated rather than based on merit. Udeze suggested that with a clear vision and the political will to act, the President should be prepared to terminate appointments that do not effectively contribute to his goals and replace them with more competent individuals.
