Women’s World Cup 2023: Nigeria And Two Other African Countries Secure A Spot in The Round of 16

Nigeria and two other African countries Morocco and South Africa, have secured a spot in the round of 16, at the ongoing Women’s World Cup 2023. This is the first time in history that three African countries will qualify for the knockout phase in a women’s world cup tournament.

The Moroccan women’s team made history after their qualifier for the knockout phase. The “Atlas Lionesses” progress to the round of 16 at their first-ever Women’s World Cup.

Also, the Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum, has lauded his side’s performance in the group stage of the Women’s World Cup despite scepticism from several quarters and a bonus row just before the competition.

The Super Falcons will face England at the round of 16, on the 7th of August, with a hope to progress further at the tournament.

Several African citizens around the world are ecstatic about this feat and are hopeful that any of the African teams would win the prestigious FIFA Women’s world cup.
