The Super Falcons of Nigeria secured their spot in the upcoming 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON in Morocco with a convincing 7-1 aggregate victory over Cape Verde. The team’s triumph came after a 2-1 win in the second leg playoff, following a commanding 5-0 victory in the initial encounter.
Maintaining an impressive record, the Super Falcons have consistently qualified for every edition of the WAFCON since its inception in 1998, showcasing their enduring prowess on the continental stage.
Joining Nigeria in the prestigious tournament are other formidable teams that have already clinched qualification. The host nation, Morocco, will welcome defending champions South Africa, as well as DR Congo, Tunisia, Ghana, Botswana, and Algeria.
Additionally, Mali, Tanzania, Senegal, and Zambia have secured their places, promising an exciting and competitive lineup for the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco.
