Former militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has announced the formation of a private force pledged to the service of legitimacy embattled President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking to militants from his residence after a religious pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, Dokubo declared a staunch defense of President Tinubu. He asserted that any individuals or groups seeking to undermine the president’s authority would be met with failure.
“I assure you, the machinations of our enemies will not succeed. I stand here, not as a specter, but as a man who has returned from Saudi Arabia,” Dokubo said. “Our loyalty and dedication is to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and we will ensure his success. Those plotting his downfall are already defeated.”
Dokubo emphasized that his group was not looking for competition or conflict. He reiterated that everyone should respect the current leadership. He warned those not respecting the status quo, saying, “If you stir trouble, you will face trouble.”
