Yoruba Monarchs Push for Activation of 2014 National Confab Recommendations

Dr. Victor Taiwo, the Secretary General of CYE in a recent briefing at the Council of Yoruba Elders (CYE) headquarters in Ibadan revealed the newfound support from the Yoruba Obas Forum (YOF) for the implementation of the 2014 National Conference recommendations. Dr.

Taiwo expressed gratitude to the Yoruba traditional rulers for endorsing CYE’s initiative to excavate and adopt the 2014 Confab report, emphasizing their commitment to urgently restructuring the country.

During the CYE’s tour of Yorubaland, the Secretary General highlighted the pivotal role played by Yoruba delegates to the 2014 national confab, particularly acknowledging key figures such as Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, Oba Olu Falae, and Barrister Bisi Adegbuyi. These individuals have pledged their unwavering support and cooperation towards the cause, contributing to the momentum of the restructuring project.

In an effort to broaden collaboration, Dr. Taiwo extended a call for formal communications from concerned individuals and delegates across different nationalities or geo-political zones of the country. The positive responses received from Yoruba traditional rulers, including the Deputy President of YOF, the Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa, and the paramount ruler of Ijesaland, indicate a collective readiness to pursue the shared goal of national restructuring.
