Ondo Deputy Governor Denies Involvement in Planned Protest

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has addressed false publications that suggested a group loyal to him planned to protest against Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, in the state capital, Akure.

Aiyedatiwa allegedly took a firm stand, stating that he did not mandate any group to protest on his behalf. He personally signed a statement clarifying his position and disassociating himself from any such protest.

Aiyedatiwa emphasized his lack of awareness regarding any planned protest and stated that no group or association had his endorsement to carry out public demonstrations of any kind. He further expressed his commitment to the ongoing reconciliation efforts led by the National leadership of their party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

These efforts aim to address the political situation in the state and have been instrumental in restoring much-needed tranquility in Ondo State.

He called upon the security operatives in the state to continue maintaining peace and ensuring that the people of Ondo State can carry out their daily activities without any disturbances. This clarification from Aiyedatiwa aims to dispel misinformation and reaffirm his dedication to the peace and stability of Ondo State.
