Zamfara State: Suspected Fulani Terrorists Kill Officer, Abduct Monarch’s Wife Alongside 14 Others in Maru Community

In the early hours of Monday, tragedy struck Ruwandoruwa community in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State as armed sinister terrorists laid siege, resulting in the unfortunate demise of a mobile policeman attached to the Maru Police Division. The assailants, whose actions were marked by indiscriminate gunfire, targeted the district head’s residence.

The brave officer lost his life while valiantly attempting to defend the residence, falling victim to the bandits’ ruthless assault. Amid the chaos, the criminal terrorists managed to abduct 15 individuals, further escalating the gravity of the situation.

Among the abducted was the wife of a prominent monarch within the community, adding a distressing dimension to the unfolding tragedy.

Reports indicate that the assailants, arriving around 12:30 am, unleashed horror with a brazen disregard for the safety and security of the community’s residents. The wife of the community head, tragically, became a target of the bandits after their initial attempt to kidnap the district head proved unsuccessful.
