Oyo State: Pastor Killed on Farm by Fulani Terrorists

The peaceful farming community of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, was rocked by tragedy as Pastor Segun Adegboyega was reportedly killed on his farm by individuals suspected to be herdsmen. The incident, which occurred on Monday at Gege village along the Ogbomoso-Iseyin Road, has left the community in shock and mourning.

Authorities have responded to the situation, with three arrests made in connection to the killing, and the suspects now in the custody of Owode Police headquarters.

Fulani Herdsmen-related terrorism has unfortunately become a recurring issue in Oyo State, with previous incidents highlighting tensions between farmers and herders. Last October, clashes between Operation Burst, Oodua Peoples Congress, Amotekun, Soludero, and a group of herdsmen resulted in fatalities and destruction of property at Apalokun village in Iwerele, Iwajowa Local Government Area.

Efforts to obtain official statements from the police regarding the recent incident have been met with challenges, as the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, could not be reached for comment.
