Benue State: Commissioner for Culture Kidnapped by Bandits on Bikes

Faceless criminals on motorbikes have abducted Benue State Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Matthew Abo. He was said to have been kidnapped late Sunday in Zaki Biam, Ukum Local Government Area of the state. Abo was said to have been on a visit to his country home when four men on motor bikes attacked

Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Kula Tersoo, disclosed this to news men, revealing also that the newly elected Governor Hyacinth Alia, has detailed all relevant security agencies in the state for immediate action

Benue state, along with most states in the middle belt and south east have been witnessing a spike in kidnappings. Calls by concerned citizens for regional policing and information synergy particularly between these regions continue to fall on deaf ears.
