Governor Umo Eno articulated these intentions during a recent visit to Bertola’s premises in Uyo, stressing the importance of enhancing food production through mechanization.
Acknowledging the pivotal role of mechanized farming in achieving food sufficiency, Governor Eno expressed the state’s plans to establish equipment leasing services to facilitate access to essential agricultural machinery for farmers. In this endeavor, Bertola Machine Tools Limited emerges as a trusted partner, renowned for its unwavering integrity and consistent provision of quality equipment across the nation. The governor directed relevant commissioners to devise strategies for fostering collaboration with Bertola, ensuring that farmers in Akwa Ibom have access to vital machinery for their operations.
Noting the significance of the agricultural revolution, Governor Eno hinted on the need to support local enterprises capable of contributing to the realization of the state’s vision. By establishing an equipment leasing company and partnering with Bertola, the government aims to empower farmers and drive agricultural productivity.
